Wednesday - Day 5
More rain last night and drizzle this morning during my walk around 8 a.m. I shot some singing honeyeaters on a new camera setting which worked better than trying to set for speed only.

We drove to Deep Creek Conservation Park on the way to Cape Jervis. An $8 entry was required but if it helps maintain the park we’re okay with the fee. The park is large with non powered camp sites, the attraction being coastal forest and heathland and some spectacular coastal views. Kangaroo island lies off the coast and dominates the seascape.
Further west we stopped at a lookout for a cuppa and immediately spotted some new birds for the trip. It’s a nice area and worth a visit again when we tackle Kangaroo Island.

The day remained mostly overcast with no wind. This caused very calm conditions on the ocean which would be nice at the start of a month, preferably a Sunday around the Port Fairy area. We walked a little but mainly took in the views.
We reached Cape Jervis around midday and found little of interest save the ferry terminal to the island. The drive north towards Adelaide was more interesting and we stopped by the ocean for a quick lunch somew

It was around 2 p.m. when we returned to Victor Harbor. We filled the car with petrol which is set to rise tomorrow for the Easter Break. ($1.12 today). Let’s see what the inflated price is in the morning.
Bird Sightings
White eye, Yellow tailed black cockatoo, Crescent honeyeater, Sulphur crested cockatoo, Eastern spinebill, Scarlet robin, 72 birds
